Welcome Spring!
Well it’s official, Spring is here! Roger and I have an ongoing debate about the 1st day of Spring it’s definitely 1st February in Ireland!! When is it for you? The snowdrops are in full bloom, the daffs are well up and what do you know the sun is shining accompanied by great high tides. Heaven!
Golfers
It’s Ryder Cup in Ireland year so Golfers get out there and swing those clubs! Remember there are now over 50 golf courses within an hour’s drive of your cottage door. We have another new golf range ‘Riverside’ right on the Boyne Estuary what a location. That makes three …So No Excuses!
SHOPPERS… who said that?
The Scotch Hall Experience!!! SHE for short. Our wonderful new shopping centre just five miles away on the River Boyne, all the High Street stores you can think of everything from Pull and Bear to Next, Monsoon to Wallace, the 2nd largest centre in Ireland with over 100 shops.
GOURMETS
On the new river boardwalk just next to the shopping centre is the sleek new ‘D Hotel’ with it’s excellent river view restaurant. Just to spoil you for choice five minutes away on the river side too is Bru Restaurant great food in a trendy upbeat atmosphere, we love it! Lis-Maura Farm Shop has expanded yet again so lots more Goodies for you Foodies! The new 5 Star Bettystown Court Hotel’ opens June providing the area with additional first class restaurants and bars.
HEALTH AND BEAUTY
We continue to get really good reports on beauty spa AQUA located in the village, added to which La Spa Therapie has just opened this side of Drogheda providing additional treatments to enhance positive energy and balance for men and women. “Inhale the elements and Exhale your stress” is their theme!

Gossip
We continue to attract good press with a full page editorial piece in Ireland of the Welcomes Jan/Feb edition 2006 and yet another full page in the winter edition of Travel and Leisure.
DVD’s
Last but not least all our cottages are now equipped with DVD players.
